2008 SmartCard Membership Program The Emerald Card We are pleased to introduce the new Emerald SmartCard in our 20th year. The Emerald offers green fee and power cart savings for frequent players. Purchase the card for $799. The card works as a debit card. In the pro shop, use the card to pay for discounted green fees (20-25%), power cart rentals (15%), golf merchandise in the pro shop, and in the clubhouse or snack bar for food and beverage purchases. The card may be used by family, friends, or for your clients and business associates. For your protection, other people who may wish to charge purchases to your account must be registered on your account profile. savings chart Emerald Smart Card Membership FAQ Is an Emerald Smart Card a Membership? Yes. Emerald Smart Cards are member accounts. When you use your member account as payment at Oakridge we debit the balance of your account. How much is an Emerald Smart Card? Opening an account is $799.00. Your opening balance is $799.00. You don’t lose a penny of your investment. What are the benefits of purchasing an Emerald Smart Card? Smart Cards help golfers save money. Save 20% off green fees and 15% off power carts 7 days a week. Seniors save an additional 5% on green fees. (60+) How is the Smart Card discount applied to my green fee and power cart? The discount is automatically applied each time you use your Smart Card in the Pro Shop. Can I use my Smart Card to purchase guest green fees at my discount? Yes. You may pay for one foursome per day (maximum) utilizing your membership account. What happens at the end of the season to my balance? Your balance carries forward to the next season. Membership account balances do not expire. What happens if I lose my Smart Card? Your investment is safe. Replacement cards are available. There is a $10.00 charge for a new card. What are the savings on green fees compared to standard green fee rates? Green Fees are at 20% off (25% for seniors!) 7 days a week anytime, except special rates such as: Early bird, twilight, leagues, tournaments, group bookings. (cell 905-260-3525) Information regarding the new program status will be sent out in early March of 2008. 2007 and Older Smart Card Memberships The Emerald Card is the only card offered to new members for 2008. As of fall 2007 our existing Gold, Platinum and Diamond SmartCard membership program is full. We will not be offering new Gold, Platinum and Diamond memberships for the 2008 golf season. There have not been any changes to the SmartCard program for all existing card holders. Existing SmartCard members are still able to recharge their cards.* The program and discounts will remain the same as they were when you purchased your first card. *Inactive SmartCards: Existing members who recharge their cards on an annual basis will continue to be offered the ability to recharge and use their gold, platinum and diamond cards. Should the balances remain inactive for a period of one year, or no recharge occurs in that period, the cardholder will not be able to recharge the card.
