"Full swings! Outdoor ball flight with heaters....indoor simulated on course play. The Range at Oakridge is open. Real golf can't be far off now! The recent glorious weather will trifle any white stuff the lion may bring us this March. We will be golfing before we know it. This is a great time to prepare for the first tee. Here are a few aspects of your game to consider now and to enjoy in a few short weeks. Did you clean your clubs before putting them away last season? Funny eh? Well, I guess we're laughing at me then!
Golf vanishes for most of us in November or December each season and then appears almost instantly in April. We charge the first tee! Again for most of us...we find our sticks, look for our shoes and check to ensure there are golf balls in the bag. Time to play! And we're right; however the first few rounds we play should be tempered. Our bodies (again for most of us) aren't used to the physical demands from swinging the club. The "forced" time away from the game may open us to injury early in the season.
Get out to the range, swing in the sunshine without a ball in your back yard or on the roof! Just make sure you let yourself and your body know golf is coming soon. Be well, look after yourself and get ready. We will see you for real golf in a few short weeks. In the meantime we're here now. The driving range open and your golf swing is restless!

My
crew and I have the golf course carefully prepared for hibernation.
As of Nov. 14th, the greens have been fully prepped for the winter
months. I prefer not to have traffic on the golf course at this time of
year to keep it in top notch shape for spring. I look forward
to
seeing you here at the course around April 15th, 2010!
