| Putting.
Say it three times,
click your heels together and no matter what colour your shoes are the
ball will not go to its home without your help. Believe me
...I've tried! Putting is many things to many
golfers.
Sometimes its the saviour; equally it can be the catalyst. So
what is putting? Putting is a stroke, not a swing.
When
putting we want the ball to roll along the ground and into the
hole. If it doesn't get there...it never goes in. You can
practice putting with as little as six feet of roll; in your bedroom,
basement, hallway, etc...
Objective
number one is always to give the putt a chance. In
other words "get it to the hole".
This
advice
worked
for me
and and I
hope it will help you as
well. You need one golf ball, one coin and your
putter.
Many of the putts we can make but often miss are within six to ten feet
of the hole. Put a coin on the floor about six feet
away.
Putt and roll your ball over the coin. Rolling the ball over
the
coin is the gold in this drill. Become comfortable focusing
on a
target (the coin) and rolling your putt over it. Roll the
ball
over the coin in practice and into the hole on the golf course.
And
remember...almost every short putt doesn't go in.
