ETIQUETTE

·       All juniors are expected to conduct themselves with the highest standard of etiquette while on or off the golf course.  Golfers should always show respect for others on and off the golf course.  Vulgar language, throwing clubs, damaging the golf course will not be tolerated and result in immediate suspension.

·       Always replace divots and fill in divots on par threes with seed mixture provided by Greens Keeper.

·       Always repair ball marks on the green.  If you require assistance to learn these skills ask for the Pro.  As a rule leave the golf course better than when you started play.  Lead by example.

·       Wait behind another player’s ball before walking to their ball.

·       Never run on or around the golf course.

·       Be quiet when golfers are preparing to hit their ball.

·       Always rake sand traps and replace rakes evenly distributed around bunker edges.

·       Pull Carts are not to be pulled across tees, greens or between greens and bunkers.

SPEED OF PLAY

·       As a guideline, always keep pace with the group in front.  Should groups behind you catch up to your group then wave the group through.  On course Marshals will assist you to ensure your enjoyment.  Standard time par applies to all golfers.  Standard round time is 4 to 4 ½ hours.

PLAY ABILITY

·       Junior members will play from the Red tee deck until they have demonstrated an ability to play from the Gold tee deck.  This demonstration of ability requires one on one discussion and playing a few holes with one of the Canadian PGA Professionals at Oakridge Golf Club.  Above all else ~ enjoy this game!
